I personnaly like Rani mukerjee a lot.... The Sarees she wears looks absolutely stunning... I feel she carry's off herself very gracefully in sarees...  |

I just wish Rani was a little bit taller.. for her height, shorts and minis work fine. Sarees just make her look stout - just my opinion.. sorry, if you are Rani-fan She rocked the mini skirt look in her KKHH movie and thereafter .. Okie, talking about latest trends.. have you noticed that all the stylists are wearing Maxi with Jackets.. Personally I dint like the look.. but who knows, I will get used to it eventually... The first time I saw was Rachel Joe wearing a Blue jacket with white maxi imm. after labor day (probably trying to send the message that she doesnt care for "no whites after labor day" rule. Then I saw a couple of stylists wear them in few shows!! Not very impressed yet! Letz see what this season really brings. |

Last week was Paris Fashion week.. Loved the Chanel summer/Spring 2012 collection. Wow!! Pearls seemed to be the underlying theme.. But these gals rocked it. Modern and Chic:  Simple and elegant - Loved the sandals:  One with vintage touch:  |

Wow Anu, did you see Katrina's outfit at Zee Cine awards.. I was sooo reminded of what you had told earlier about Manish Malhotra's repetitive designs.. Here, look at Katrina's outfit below and the ones you posted earlier!! I am surprised how he has survived in Bollywood for sooo long!!   Thanks for bringing this up - I was not aware that the fashion week started. As usual, I cant stand Manish Malhotra... If he has a "brainstorm" design, then he will use the same in all his designs.. I am so tired of seeing the thick border element with a velvet material. Arrey, what is his fascination with Velvet in the first place.. Hasnt he dressed Kareena and Anushka Sharma with enough Velvet embroidered, Velvet Bordered salwars and sarees!! Fortunately, in this collection, the velvet took a backseat but that border patchwork made an advent even into Men's wear!! Do you see the pattern (pun intended ) : This is Manish Malhotra's salwar Kareena wore for Saif's PadmaShri awards function on Apr 7, 2010 And these are his WIFW Collection presented yesterday!! OK seriously, how embarassed should the designer be when the gown that he picks for the bride has the same design as the one worn by a guest.. Genelia worn a white with pink Lehenga/gown for her Sangeet and Natasha Poonawala (a socialite guest at the sangeet) worn the same design (sans some bling) with the same neck line and color (white and pink) for the Sangeet. And wait for it, both were designed by Manish Malhotra! If the designers are so callous and lethargic, then why spend days working with them on wedding dresses and gowns exclusively! Why not just pick one out of the rack from the designer shop?? Ok, for the guys who dont get it and are rolling the eyes about whatz the big deal - Baby, this is fashion.. everything matters, tum nahin samjoge |

Okie.. we really need to get Anu on board.. Remember the Kerala saree that you girls were discussing long back.... Asin pulled off the best look ever in that saree at Riteish-Genelia wedding. She looks gorgeous.  |

I like Asin but didn't like her in that Kerala outfit that much because it didn't suit someone else's wedding occasion.
Diya Mirza dresses up nice these days along with shazahn padamsee.

Oh, I am back girls.. was just having some tough week.. you will get it from the thread I have posted earlier  Yup Celebi, Asin looks good. IPLRocks, wearing that saree is a normal tradition in mallu weddings like Kancheepuram sarees in southie weddings.. Ohhhh God, thanks for mentioning about Dia Mirza.. I was longing to post about it, but never found time.. She is the ultimate Goddess - she never gets it wrong, be it western or Indian. Huggggee Fan of her style! |
