Siruthai This movie is a remake of Telugu movie Vikramarkudu. Karthi has done a very good job. Though he dons dual role, he depicts them with total different styles. He rocks the local rowdy role with awesome body language and accent. There is a tint of Satyaraj's style in that character.
Santhanam's comedy track is very good and entertaining. It gels well with the movie. Especially during the first part, when he is trapped as thief and he struggles to prove that Karthi is also a thief, was very hilarious. And then during second half, his entry as Bomb squad is very funny.
Tamanna is just an eye-candy. But I felt that Anushka did a better job in Telugu movie than Tamanna here.
Overall: Very entertaining. Rating (out of 5 Stars): 4 Stars.

Kandasamy A nice storyline - it was very entertaining and thrilling. Vikram has done a good job, as usual, portraying different roles. Shriya has played walked out of her comfort zone of soft or innocent girl to play a girl who likes to play games. She is impressive.
The only annoying factor was vadivelu's comedy track. It was so distracting and unnecessary. There was nothing funny - it was just annoying.
Rating (out of 5 Stars): 4 Stars.

Vinnaithandi Varuvaya
I have seen both Telugu (Ye Maya Chesave) and Tamil (Vinnathandi Varuvaya). In Tamil, though Simbu has tried to control his performance and be a director's actor - still leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the scenes seem like he is rehearsing before a mirror. There is always an artificial performance - remember how Prashanth used to act; you could always say that he is acting. It is so artificial. Simbu creates the same feeling. For that reason, I liked Nag's performance. Though a newcomer, we do not feel a distance between the character. He fills the role perfectly.
Abt the heroine, though not a fan of Trisha, I liked Trisha's performance in this movie. She portrays the character with much ease than Samantha. In the scene, where heroine slaps the hero, Trisha does a more convincing job than Samantha.
On the whole, I would have preferred the movie with Nag as hero and Trisha as heroine. The storyline may seem to pacify some college students; some guys may be able to relate to it. Other than that, I was not convinced with the plot... every time, the hero kept saying "Jessie is great", I kept wondering what was so great about Jessie. He falls for her 'coz, she is hot. After that there was so convincing scene to tell us why he feels Jessie is great. The director lost me there.
Rating (out of 5 Stars): 2.5 Stars
