Wondering if anyone is buying Potassium Iodide as awakening call to radiation threat from Japan's nuclear reactor failure?

I was reading cnn news and now FDA is warning against fake potassium Iodide products. Unbelievable, people are just about making money. They understand the need of potassium iodide and how people are lining up for those and also shortage of supply.

How is the pulse in India about this. Usually if health issue is related to West or foreign countries, Indians and Indian govt over react than they usually do to a home grown one. It happened when Swine flu outbreak happened.
Are people educated to buy Potassium Iodide now back in India?

In west coast of US, it might be a problem in the future if news of Japanese reactor leaking to ocean are true.
So should the people in westcoast take any steps to avoid the effects of this leaking ?

Everyday westcoast radiation levels measured are going up. UCal B is starting to make some noise on their observations in local newspapers.
Yeah, more than residents, I too worry about ocean habitat.They can make the whole eco system go bad.
