Have a question.
Does using dishwasher once a day really save water consumption with Indian cooking? My dishwasher has never washed the rice cookers or any heavy bottom pans well, so it's used for plates/spoons/glasses which usually do not consume much water when handwashed if water is utilized when rinsing.

I always do gorcery and other shopping with clothe bags and do not use plastic bags or paper bags from stores. But does it make impact if many individuals follow it? Govt. initiative will help more than individual IMO. Plastic was not in use in India in 80s and mid 90s. Why USA plastic makers promoted the use and made it a problem now to abandon it? Mind boggles.
