Planning to try my luck with this IPO. Let's see how it works out (if any shares get allotted to me). With Indian Stock Market moving upward, it might be a good time to invest in this one.

courtneywalsh, what is IPO? How is it different from regular stocks/shares? This is my understanding (due your own diligence ). IPO is Initial Public Offering which is given to the public before getting listed in the Share Market as Stocks/Shares. This particular share will get listed in Bombay Stock Exchange. I see that the fundamentals are good and I am expecting 15-20% gain on this stock getting listed. From wiki
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodities_exchange
Commodities exchanges usually trade futures contracts on commodities, such as trading contracts to receive something, say corn, in a certain month. A farmer raising corn can sell a future contract on his corn, which will not be harvested for several months, and guarantee the price he will be paid when he delivers; a breakfast cereal producer buys the contract now and guarantees the price will not go up when it is delivered. This protects the farmer from price drops and the buyer from price rises

This particular share will get listed in Bombay Stock Exchange. OK. If it's an Indian stock then it make sense that it get listed in Bombay Stock Exchange. What if IPO is outside India say in US, where will it get listed first?

What if IPO is outside India say in US, where will it get listed first? NASDAQ or Dow Jones perhaps. Not too familiar with US Stock exchanges even though I worked for a Wall street firm
