What is the process for follow up after job interview?. Yes, you email/write thank you notes immediately to the person concerned. What is the next step?.
Do you call HR?. What happens if they don't pick up the phone?. Do you email?. What if no response?.
Are there any other options?.
Of course, you can continue with the next interview / offer (if you have any) but shouldn't the HR folks be a bit more responsible.

I usually send an email after a week to HR or whoever the point of contact. If they don't respond, another email in 2 weeks. If they still don't respond, I assume it's a dead case.

1) It's better to email immediately (ask for the person's email id). The same day or the next day. 2) Follow up is after a week. 3) In case of no response, I call after 10 days.
It's bit weird here in India that they will take 1 month to get to your Resume but would want you to join in 2 weeks. If you see the their offer, the notice period would be 2 months! (talking from personal experience here).
I would also suggest to know about the company and take 1/2 page notes before the interview. In case you mention their product/services once or twice in the interview and how you would fit into the scheme of things there, it helps immensely to turn the tide in your favor.
Good luck!

It's bit weird here in India Yes, it is indeed weired. Attended one interview , cleared all interviews. One of the main prerequisite was join asap. I tolld them I can come next day itself:) I even met CEO. Then...... It is more than 3 weeks and no action. I followed up HR and they said the position is on HOLD! What were they thinking when they called me for F2F interview in an hour. I asked my friend to tke care of my kid and went to the interview...weired weired....

What do you mean by position is on hold? I happen to attend an interview and everything went fine upto HR round and now they are saying that the position is on hold.
