Applebees serves Margarita Mix to a toddler.
The Margarita Mix was labelled as Apple juice and the employee served the alcohol to the 15 mth toddler!! The tot was checked out by doctors, and the family was told the child’s blood alcohol level was .10 percent. That’s over the legal limit for an adult driver. "He kind of laid his head on the table and dozed off a little bit and woke up and got real happy and was saying 'bye' to people, 'hi' to people. His food came and he wouldn't eat it," mother Taylor Dill-Reese told WHEC TV. www.usatoday.com/money/industries/food/2011-04-12-applebees-alcohol-child.htmwww.msnbc.msn.com/id/42541406/ns/business-consumer_news/================================ Though the news is painful to hear, on a lighter side.. I need to get my kid checked up - coz this is how he is most of the time, when he is outside

A Google A DayI found this piece of news interesting. Source: www.cnn.com/2011/TECH/web/04/11/google.trivia.game/index.html?hpt=T2If you've every played live trivia at a bar or restaurant, you've probably seen that guy. You know -- the one who suddenly needs to "check his messages" on his smartphone after every question? That guy. Well, now there's a trivia game that lets you use Google until your heart's content without compromising your personal integrity for $50 worth of beer and hot wings. "A Google A Day," was rolled out by the search-engine giant on Monday. The daily quiz offers up a single question that's supposed to be hard enough that typing a quick set of words into a search query box won't find the solution. Answers to these questions will be posted the next day on the "Google a Day" page and above the New York Times' crossword puzzle. And like the Times' puzzle, questions will get harder as the week goes on -- so that, "by Thursday or Friday, even the most seasoned searcher may be stumped," according to Google's official blog. Happy Googling :-) ================================ Today's Google A Day: agoogleaday.com/#date=04-12-2011My name is Robert. One day before my brother Rohan’s 19th birthday, our father had an album on the Billboard 200. Name the album. ==============================

$6,390 toilet is fit for a kingKohler's stylish $6,390 Numi commode will, as the company's website says, "bring you the finest in personal comfort and cleansing." We will let the features speak for themselves: * A motion-activated lid and seat. * Advanced bidet functionality (with adjustable spray patterns). * Integrated air dryer. * Deodorizer. * Heated seat. * Foot warmer. * Illuminated panels. * Built-in speakers and MP3 player jack. Consumer Reports says this WaterSense-certified toilet uses dual-flush technology, which allows you to select a partial flush for liquid waste and a full flush for solid waste. How fun. The Numi won't be available until fall. SourceThough itz pricey, it is not the most expensive :-)

Ashoka era stupa lost in renovationSo much for Preserving our History, while India is Shining!! Do we have the skillset to do preserve history and renovate our national treasures? When all young people are heading towards Comp. Engg. and Medical, how do we expect people to have enough skills in this field! If we do find people with the right skills, will the Government Agency hire the right candidate without getting influenced by bribe or people in power? It is pathetic that we do not try to put our best efforts in, whatever we do! Everything is such a half-baked job - from organizing an inaugural event, our out-sourced code, to this! ========================== A 2300-year-old stupa of Ashoka period here appears to have turned into a modern building during efforts of archeologists to restore the site after it was excavated in 2005. A visit to the site presents a picture as if a new stupa has been built in this district of Haryana. .. In a letter to the director general of Archeological Survey of India, Activist Siddarth Gauri, who has produced a documentary on the condition of Buddhist heritage in Haryana, pointed out faults in the renovation. "The stupa has been completely covered with new bricks, leaving no traces behind of its original bricks and construction material," the letter says. Gauri has alleged the binding material used for the bricks is cement and sand, which are prohibited in the renovation of ancient monuments. There were four cardinal points and niches to place idols but now they appear as stairs. There were traces of approximately 52 pits around the parikrama path but they have been covered under the path. They were two feet deep and wooden pillars used to be placed in them to create a boundary around the stupa. ========================== Source
