As the Spring is almost here to drive away the cold winter weather, let us put that extra spring in our feet and get ready to step out and enjoy the good weather!
Please go ahead and invite your family and friends who are distant and near. Let us make this also as an event to stay connected with the people who matter to us.
Here I am on the Fitness Drive Spree trying to pull out as many people as possible into the 'Spurthi Fitness Group!'
Q. Where is this activity going on? Will we be updating each other through mail exchanges?
A. I have started this activity on this site - www.indianpotluck.com/

I have registered myself as Spurthi, and would be acting as facilitator of the "Spurthi Fitness Group!".
Q. Why can't we do just like the earlier 3 week challenges where in we used to update weekly status?
A. I am looking for a bigger number in this fitness drive. Email exchanges would become annoying for all. Also, being registered with anonymous id we need not have to worry of thoughts like - 'What would my friends think of me?' Unless you really wish to share with friends personally, you would not be forced to share your fitness updates details.
Q. Do you think this kind of fitness group works?
A. I have been part of online fitness groups and I am confident it works for the people who are really desired to achieve the targets. I have personally lost close to about 10 lbs being part of several 3 weeks challenges.
Q. What do I need to do?
A. Go to this site and register yourself with an user id of your choice. You can ping me saying you have registered but need not have to share your user id unless you want to. I will be laying out a plan for first 4 weeks. I will be collecting constant feedback and ideas from the members. Based on the inputs we can plan the further activity.
It will be the members of Fitness Group who would be driving this Fitness Drive.
Q. I am already very regular in doing exercises and am fit. Why should I join?
A. Nothing beats more than having people who are already doing this. We need such people who can in turn motivate more people.
Q. I would like to lose weight by diet control. Can I be part of this group?
A. Yes, definitely! Fitness can be improved by exercising / diet control. Whatever works for you. You can state your goal and group can share tips/ideas based on their experiences to achieve this.
Q. I have some health issues. Can I join the group?
A. There are no hard and fast rule to say - Yes or No! Please consult your medical practitioner for professional advice and take a diligent decision. Finally it is your overall healthy and happy well being that is more important.

Fitness activities starts April 18th 2011 - This gives adequate time for all to mentally prepare themselves. Time to awaken the discipline / determination / will power that has been dormant.
