In SDLC it would be before UAT/Testing phase. You mean "Implementation" stage in SDLC. |

What are the different Project estimation techniques?
Note: Please be advised that this is not necessarily a PM role question instead can be asked for a tech lead/architect roles as well. In fact one interviewer said that as a lead/architect it's the responsibility of those to do estimation and it's nothing to do with PM:)

When the requirements are not clear (most of the time this is the case) the best way to estimate is to use a dart board |

Have used Function Points in one of my earlier project but that failed miserably. Both the estimate and the project . Another skillset one should be aware for Manager/PM/Architect position.
Business Intelligence or in short BI
IBM's cognos is one such BI tool. Get familiar with cognos as well.
