Barry Bonds perjury trial is coming to an end with Jury deliberation starting today. Verdict may come any time.
I feel he lied on his steroid usage but I also feel CA tax payer's money was wasted in grand jury plus this trial to decide whether he lied. Why did Govt. decide that what he put in his body and what steroids and PEDs similar high profile athletes used is highly important than other issues ?
Baseball drug saga has been discussed in detail since 2003 season. But why is it a legal issue? Even if the MLB comes and admits that 50% of its players use the illegal drugs, public have gotten over the initial rage and it won't be clean any time soon. I feel Barry Bonds should be declared innocent so similar wastage of tax payer's money will not happen to Clemens case.
What do baseball lovers think about this?

MLB season 2011 has started since last week. Most pundits have Redsox as preseason favorites and they started as 0-6 but stopped their losing streak by beating who else ? Yankees : )
Phillies have 4 pitching aces. Will they be the champs ?
I feel either Phillies or Giants will be the winner for NL team to repeat.

NYY or Boston Red Sox might not be the AL's top dog this year. Rangers even without Josh Hamilton have started well.
I still feel a NL team will be the winner in October.

Red sox lost in the last day of regular season and are out of playoffs. AL : NYY, Tampa bay Rays, Texas Rangers, Detroit lions NL : Phillies, Diamondbacks, St Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers Barring huge upset, I feel NYY and Phillies will meet in the world series But what would a NYY fan feel if Tampabay wins first round and win in the second round ? |

CW, any guesses on who will win the world series ? Yankees will emerge from AL and Phillies from NL. Phillies have both good pitching and batting. Yankees offense is amazing but pitching not so great but they have experience. It should be good series if both make it but as some sox fan, I won' t be too upset if Rays or Rangers beat NYY in ALCS |

Yankees survived yesterday and levelled the ALDS to 2-2 with Detroit. Hope they win as Detroit has no offense and are boring to watch |

They might not make much money with other teams. As for me, the season ends as soon as Yankees go home. |

Phillies lost too. So its' the boring ALCS and boring NLCS and whoever wins, it will be boring world series.
Personally for me and the sponsors, if Yankees and Redsox don't make it, ALCS is not interesting and if Phillies and Giants or Cubs don't, it's boring NLCS .
Bye Bye MLB 2011 . Hope 2012 will have these match ups.
